In this class you will choose from a wide range of hand made Lino stamps to design your table runner. Options include flowers, butterflies, homesteading and geometric patterns. You will learn how to prepare the paint, print and how to heat set your artwork which you will do at home. Ages 13+, limit 2 per class.

Includes 2 firings of the item as well as your choice of glaze.

For those that have some experience fly fishing - our resident anglers Nathan and Peter* will help guide you along the river and fine tune your fly fishing technique.

Minimum age 14 years old.
Extra $35 for rod hire if you do not supply your own rod. Waders recommended but not essential. Flys available at $5 each.

Come along with us to bring in the cows and watch us hand milk them!
Suitable for all ages. Meet us at the stables which are behind the check in kiosk. Donations will go towards a new milking stall.

TO BOOK:  Update NUMBER OF GUESTS trekking.  Treks require a MINIMUM of 2 people. 

We take novices though to experienced riders and always go at the pace of the least experienced trekker.

Up to 8 people can book online so please be aware that you may be part of a larger group trekking.  Private treks by appointment only.

Treks are suitable for adults under 100kg and children over 7 years old who are at least 35kg.  Please enquire for smaller children or solo trekking.

Come experience homesteading at Mohaka River Farm.  With a guided tour of the gardens you will learn about growing quality organic crops to feed the family.  Dig up new potatoes and other seasonal produce.  Visit the chicken coop and collect the eggs while learning about how to improve the soil.  Tour begins right after milking starting at the stables.  Suitable for all ages.  Price is per family group up to 5 people.  $5 per individual if not in a family group.

Learn the basics of spin fishing from our resident anglers Peter and Nathan.  They will teach you about the gear you need, fishing techniques, lure selection, knot tying, casting, retrieving techniques, how to fight and land a fish, as well as Q & A.  Suitable for ages 7 and up.
The experience will give you a better chance to catch our resident brown and rainbow trout.
The Price includes a full day rod hire, plus 2 lures you can take home.
Refund available if class cancelled due to heavy rain.

Nathan will teach you the steps of making a minimalist leather wallet.  You’ll learn about the saddle stitch technique, edging and finishing.
